Who does not love to kayaking?

Imaging doing this in Namibia at Pelican Point, whilst seals and dolphins are popping out of the water next to you 🙂

Pelican Point Kayaking is a family business started by Naude and Katja Dreyer in June 2013, and was in need of a revision of their old logo.

Briefing:

A modern looking logo incorporating the core-business:

Pelican point lighthouse/seals and off course kayaking.

In fact this was not so easy to do, as the design could get quite busy by incorporating those 3 elements. Finally we settled on the final version which avoids a “busy” look, but still represent Naude and Katja’s core business.

I met Naude and Katja when they were looking for a T-shirt design for their non profit organisation Ocean Conservation Namibia to deal with seal disentanglements in Namibia and general ocean conservation.

Two t-shirt designs were made to their likings and are featured in their webshop.

So it was a happy re-encounter 🙂

If you want to check their OCN webshop and support them by buying the T-shirt, please do:

For those who like to know the design process : Katja and Naude settled for version 5 as the logo also needed to be able to emboid it.
